Guardian360
Dear

As the first quarter of 2023 draws to an end, it is exciting to see how much has already been accomplished in what feels like a very short period of time.

In the past few weeks, we have handed out the first Guardian360 Sales Expert certificates, our services have been tested on a moving vessel, we updated our service catalogue with the BSI IT-Grundschutz and we made some really good progress with the new Guardian360 Lighthouse dashboard.

Please don’t forget to sign up for the technical and sales trainings; not having certified staff will affect your partner status after July 1.

Kind regards,
On behalf of the Guardian360 team,

Jan Martijn Broekhof
Managing Director

Lighthouse update

While this month saw the HTML pages coming to a conclusion, much of the foundational functionality is being implemented. Many of the pages in the new front-end are already connected to the API and no longer reading from dummy data.

Dick created a data processor that is able to easily translate our services from the backend into readable front-end information.

After a meeting with our site reliability engineers, Niek came onboard to offer us his services to assist us to prepare for test driven development for our more functional code. Our test driven development approach ensures our code is held to the highest standards and ensures that everything we implement is secure and reliable.

As a digital security solution provider it is imperative for us that we lead by example in producing code that aligns with optimal safety standards.

We are very eager to share this with you as soon as possible and would like to present a beta version of the dashboard in Q2 of 2023.

In the meantime, the current Lighthouse dashboard is still at your disposal. The performance of the dashboard should be turbo-boosted by the work done under the hood by our site reliability engineers.

While we are implementing large optimisation updates that have been planned years in advance, it is also worth noting daily upgrades in responses to our tickets from partners often add unseen improvements and functionality that should not be underestimated.

Information security 9-plane model workshop

The recently introduced Guardian360 partner program aims to support partners becoming an information security authority to their clients. One of the tools we offer for this is the "Information security 9-plane model workshop".

The Guardian360 9-plane model supports clients' management in determining:

  • what measures are in place
  • where additional measures are needed
  • and where measures are already sufficient

This is based on each organisation's risk appetite and unique business case.

This workshop is intended for directors, executives and management teams who want to get 'in control' and who want to be able to determine whether a supplier offers the right measures for their business risks and business case.

As partners invite different clients to their office, this strengthens the relationship with the partner and clients can learn from each other.

After the workshop, the 9-plane model completed by the client can periodically serve as a discussion document to check whether the measures taken are still adequate.

The workshop can be found on our partner portal. Let us know if we can support you in organising a workshop at your office!

Sign up for technical and commercial training

As mentioned in the introduction, the first sales expert certificates have already been handed out.

Every other month training programmes will be held online or at the Guardian360 office in Utrecht. On conclusion of these programmes participating sales representatives will obtain the Guardian360 Sales Expert certificate, and engineers will obtain the Guardian360 Technical Expert certificate.

Training is mandatory for Partners to obtain and maintain the new Partner levels Certified, Advanced or Premium. The certificates will be valid for 1 year.

Partners currently having the Authorised status will be granted the Sales status as of July 1, 2023, unless they meet the Certified status requirements. In that case they will be granted the Certified status.

After obtaining the Certified, Advanced or Premium Partner status Partners, are allowed to implement Guardian360 services for their own IT-environment and Web applications free of charge. Partner statuses will be re-evaluated by Guardian360 annually in the month of December.

If you want to sign up for a training with more than 5 staff, please contact us to discuss the in-house options.

An Annotated Field Guide to Identifying Phish

Phishing is a big deal, with a State of Phishing report from security firm SlashNext claiming that there were more than 255 million phishing attacks in 2022, a 61% increase from the year before. The Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report for 2022 says that only 2.9% of employees click through from phishing emails, but with billions of email addresses available to target, the raw numbers are still high.

Adam Engst wrote an extensive article about how to identify phishing.

G360DAO Update

We recently finished phase two of our project with the EY strategy team. We now have a revised light paper, updated financial business model, proposition branding, investor teaser and much more to work with. It has been an interesting ride so far and while there has been good progress, we're not quite there yet.

Together with the EY Tax team and the legal advisors from HVG we have discovered the most appropriate jurisdiction and legal entity type for our DAO. Fortunately it seems a Dutch cooperation will work just fine.

Emmanuel did a great job creating content and reaching out to potential community members. Check out the Substack site to learn more.

On 10 May will Jan Martijn be interviewed at the EY Global Blockchain Summit regarding the setup of G360DAO. We're excited to share what we have learned until now!

SRE Vacancy

Guardian360 is looking for an SRE with passion for automation and software engineering to join our team. We are not looking for just anyone. The new colleague must fit seamlessly into our team and culture. We place high demands on the knowledge, experience, and motivation of this new colleague. The search for this jack of all trades may take a little longer, but we are happy to take that time to find the perfect colleague!

If you know someone who fits the profile, would you kindly point them to our vacancy?
