Guardian360
Dear

The vacations are over and it shows; onboarding new clients on our Lighthouse platform continues unabated.

Unfortunately, this growth is sometimes accompanied by some growing pains. For example, a very limited number of clients were not scanned for several days due to a disruption of services. The partners and customers concerned have been informed, the scanning is running properly again, and we have expanded our monitoring systems to prevent this from happening again in the future.

One of the reasons that we are seeing such a strong growth in our securing of customer environments can be traced back to our partner-only strategy. From conversations with our partners and potential partners it is very clear that they like the fact that they are in control of customer environments, that they are the first point of contact, that they can provide more security services, and that Guardian360 has no ambition to serve customers directly. We have no desire to be customer facing at all; our passion is building good software so that our partners can serve their customers well!

Of course, we value our own information security. During the month of September, we are having our Lighthouse platform and APIs penetration tested by NFIR.

In this newsletter we share a brief Lighthouse update, inform you about our plans in Germany and tell you about Guardian360 being the first Dutch company that obtained the ECSO label. Last but not least: a step by step API integration guide by using Power Automate is finally available!

On behalf of the Guardian360 team,

Jan Martijn Broekhof
Managing Director

Lighthouse update

We would like to give a brief update on some long anticipated functionality within Lighthouse. We're working very hard to be able to exclude specific scanners on specific IP addresses. This will allow scan objects to continue to be scanned, while excluding those scanners that are perceived to be invasive. We expect to deliver this feature before the end of this month.

New interns

This month, two interns started within Guardian360. Joash will be working on a research project related to ISO27001 and a new Guardian360 affiliated organization. Tim will be researching how Guardian360 Lighthouse can also start scanning Web3 projects for vulnerabilities.

Both gentlemen will be reporting on their research in blog posts in the coming period, so keep an eye on our social media!

Guardian360 is the 1st Dutch organization to receive the ECSO ‘Cybersecurity Made in Europe' Label

On august 15 Guardian360 received confirmation that our application for the ECSO label had been approved. ECSO (European Cybersecurity Organisation) is a European non-profit organization and partner of the European Commission for the implementation of public-private partnerships in the field of cybersecurity. In addition, ECSO is a recognized player in the European institutional landscape. ECSO supports all kinds of initiatives and projects that aim to develop and promote European cybersecurity.

Guardian360 received the label because:
  1. We're based in Europe: companies applicable for the label must be registered and headquartered in Europe. If the company is part of a larger group, the group must be registered in Europe.
  2. We're owned by European citizens: according to ECSO there should be no predominance of foreign owners in the ownership circle.
  3. Europe is our primary market: we proved that more than 50% of our cybersecurity R&D and more than 50% of our employees are located in the EU27, EFTA, EEA countries and/or the UK.
  4. We have credible services: Guardian360 certified that we meet the basic requirements of ENISA’s ‘Indispensable baseline security requirements for secure ICT products and services’.
  5. Data and privacy: Guardian360 certified that it complies with the requirements of the AVG/GDPR.

Guardian360 Lighthouse API integration using Power Automate

In one our recent partner newsletters we updated you regarding the webinar about connecting to the Guardian360 Lighthouse API.

Since then, Jorik van der Veen from Bruinsma ICT continued to build on what he had already figured out. In the meantime, he has realized an integration between Guardian360 Lighthouse and Autotask using Power Automate.

Jorik shares his experience how he designed this integration step by step in a comprehensive document. This will allow other Guardian360 partners to benefit from his work. The integration via Power Automate can also be used as a base for other applications.

We thank Jorik for his effort!

Partners for International Business Cybersecurity Germany

On September 9, Guardian360 signed the Partners for International Business Cybersecurity Germany covenant. Partners for International Business (PIB) is a program that allows Dutch companies to realize their international ambitions in a public-private partnership.

On behalf of the Dutch government, the 'Rijksdienst voor ondernemend Nederland' (RVO) develops a multi-year (usually 2 to 3 years) action plan together with a Dutch cluster of companies and knowledge institutions. This PIB action plan contains strategic and promotional activities to position a Dutch (sub-)sector in general and the cluster in particular in the best possible way in a foreign market.

This PIB focuses specifically on Germany. We look forward to working together with the 9 other companies to make German organizations even more secure.

Jan Martijn panelist during the German-Dutch panel discussion: Networked security technology and cybersecurity in practice at Security Essen. Together with the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (DNHK) and the Dutch Cluster Security Delta (HSD), a forum with the focus topics "Networked Security Technology and Cybersecurity" will take place at Security Essen.
