Guardian360
Dear ,

The first month of 2022 is almost behind us. The Guardian360 team has started the year with fresh courage. We notice that this is also true for our partners. The growth of the number of clients on the Guardian360 Lighthouse platform continues solidly. We are also pleased that relatively new partners are onboarding customers and place orders with our distributors.

This year, we will obviously ensure that our platform will continue to be scalable, stable and as secure as possible. In addition, from a commercial perspective, we will mainly focus on the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. However, this does not mean that we will not pay attention to other geographical areas, because we are also seeing increasing interest from England, for example.

Lighthouse update

In the past weeks we added new functionality to Guardian360 Lighthouse. We fixed some bugs also.

  • Issues can be accepted for 60 months instead of 12
  • When a client has been transferred to another Guardian360 Partner in Lighthouse, contract end dates do not interfere with each other anymore
  • Sort, search and filter issues on the issue index have been improved
  • Closed issues of excluded ip-addresses are archived

On Monday, January 10, the Guardian360 Platinum Partners roadmap consultation took place. Based on the input and wishes of these partners, we put the following user stories at the top of our backlog:
  • Label issues so that it can be distinguished whether the partner or the client should resolve them
  • Whitelisting ip-addresses on hacker alert appliance
  • Overview of issues (CVEs) that our platform has ever found, so that it becomes clearer what we are able to find
  • Set daily reports per organization (instead of per person)
  • Exclude IP addresses with the notation x.x.x.x-x.x.x.y
  • Comment out multiple issues at once
  • Accept hacker alerts

Guardian360 Lighthouse in German

In the month of February we will deploy Guardian360 Lightouse in the German language.
Guardian360 has been active on the German market for a couple of years and will have more attention to German Distributors, Partners and End Customers in 2022. In order to allow our Partners to present the Guardian360 Lighthouse Platform in German and to allow End Customers to use Lighthouse in German, we will also make Guardian360 Lighthouse available in German.

Should you find a translation error, please let us know at support@guardian360.nl and we will send you a nice gift.

Vacancy UX-developer (Full-Time, onsite or remote)

Guardian360 is on the lookout for an UX-developer with passion for design and development that likes to contribute to the improvement of information security of organizations worldwide.

We need the help of our partners to find a suitable candidate. So please have a look at the vacancy and let us know if you know anyone that fits the description.

More DDoS attacks in 2021, attacks also more powerful and complex

DDoS attacks have become more powerful and complex compared to previous years. At the same time, NBIP sees the duration of DDoS attacks increasing. The increasing duration, complexity and scope of DDoS attacks fits into a trend that has been going on for several years. In 2018 and 2019 and 2020, NBIP recorded 938, 919 and 1610 attacks respectively with the NaWaS. In 2021, there were a whopping 2830. That represents a significant increase in the number of attacks in one year.

This trend continues as NBIP saw the most powerful attack reaching 319 Gbps.

Last quarter, the number of attacks lasting longer than 4 hours increased. Hackers are also becoming increasingly innovative in the way attacks are carried out. For example, NBIP is seeing a notable increase in DDoS attacks at the application layer, which are not as easily detected by traditional mitigation methods. New mitigation methods are being developed to counter these new types of attacks.
