Guardian360
Dear ,

The September edition of the Guardian360 partner newsletter has been delivered to your inbox! At this moment a few Guardian360 angels are still enjoying their holiday. However, in the past weeks we have been working hard on extensions and improvements of the Lighthouse platform and we renewed our ISO27001 certificate.

Unfortunately, online criminals have been working hard this holiday as well. News reports about data leaks, ransomware attacks and supply chain attacks alternate daily. In the Netherlands NOREA is working on a periodic IT Audit Statement by accountants and at European level new legislation is in preparation to enforce security of networks and systems.

You can read more about it in this newsletter, we hope you enjoy it!

Lighthouse update
Lighthouse update

In the past month we worked on some new features, improvements and bug fixes:

  • The Lighthouse dashboard now loads faster.
  • Partners are able to select a specific client on the dashboard, multitenancy has improved.
  • It’s possible to click through to the scan object index from the tile on the dashboard.
  • It’s possible to click through to the issue index from graphs on the dashboard.
  • The probe and the hacker alert appliance tiles show the right amount of appliances
  • It’s possible to click through to the probe index and the hacker alert appliance index from the tile on the dashboard.
  • A rescan of an issue doesn’t trigger a scan of a complete IP-range anymore; only the single IP-address on which the issue was found is now being rescanned.
  • While adding a scan object exclusion, the range itself is also shown to be able to distinguish between IP-ranges.
  • Scan objects itself can now be disabled to exclude them from scanning temporarily. This means the scan object doesn’t have to be deleted first anymore – with the scan results disappearing as a consequence of this action.
  • We updated some front-end and back-end systems and fixed some minor bugs.

Guardian360 renews ISO27001 certificate

In 2018 Guardian360 obtained its ISO27001 certificate. This summer we renewed the certificate for the following scope:

“The design, development, management and support of the Guardian360 security platform in accordance with the applicability statement version 1.1,
dated July 15th 2021”

We’re very happy that we managed to do so, despite the fact that we are with a relatively small team in a rapidly changing world.

Feel free to show the certificate to your (potential) clients, we’ve uploaded the certificate to our Partner Portal.

Computicate Lighthouse integration MVP

We’re exploring possibilities to integrate Guardian360 Lighthouse and Computicate, like we did for Datto Autotask and TOPdesk.

At the moment we believe a minimum viable product for this integration should offer the following functionalities:

  • Based on certain criteria, a ticket is created in Computicate for each new issue found by the Lighthouse platform;
  • The Computicate ticket ID is also stored in the Lighthouse platform, so the link between both is always obvious;
  • When a ticket is updated in Computicate, it will be added as a comment to the issue in the Lighthouse platform;
  • When the issue is resolved and thus closed in the Lighthouse platform, then the Computicate ticket is also closed automatically.

To find out how much partners are interested in this integration we’ve come up with yet another short questionnaire. Are you a Computicate user, please fill out the questionnaire!

It is also still possible to fill out the Autotask and Topdesk questionnaires. When you want another integration developed, please contact Jan Martijn Broekhof.

Revised Directive on Security of Network and Information Systems (NIS2)

In 2016 the first EU-wide law on cybersecurity, the NIS Directive, came into force and helped achieve a higher and more even level of security of network and information systems across the EU. In view of the unprecedented digitalisation in the last years, the European Union has decided that the time has come to refresh the NIS Directive. Currently the NIS2 is under review and will impact a lot more organizations in more market sectors than before. Guardian360 partners are highly likely to be affected by this new legislation, so time to dive into it.

Indexing rates as of 1-1-2022

Effective January 1, 2022, rates for existing customers will be indexed with 2,4% based on the consumer price index as of August 2021 issued by the Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics (CPI August 2021).

Wanted: Front-end developer with excellent design skills

If we hire the front-end developer that was recommended by you, we will reward you with a dinner in a Michelin star restaurant.
