Yet another month has passed. Time flies when you’re having fun!

We had a blast: after a long time of COVID-19 restrictions, the Guardian360 team was able to meet in real life again! We’ve also spent a lot of time on research and development, which was fun as well. The foundation for even better scalability, stability and security has been laid!

In this partner newsletter we introduce the TL;DR version of the newsletter, we update you on the outcome of the platinum partners roadmap meeting, we introduce an Autotask integration possibility and, of course, we inform you about the developments within our platform.

Results platinum partner roadmap consultation

On May 31st, the first platinum partners backlog meeting took place. Together with our platinum partners Avensus, Intermax, SLTN and Solimas we’ve created an overview of 20 new desired functionalities for the Lighthouse platform. Based on the feedback of these partners we’ve come up with a top 5 of new features:

  1. Dashboard multitenancy
  2. (Advanced) issue searching, filtering, and sorting
  3. Customized scanning (select scanners, scan windows and such)
  4. Customize daily email reporting per organization
  5. Delete organizations

In the upcoming weeks, we’ll add stories to our development backlog and prioritize them amongst all other feature request already present in the backlog.

Autotask Lighthouse integration MVP

At the end of 2020, Datto and Guardian360 organized a round table with several managed services providers. Subject of the discussion was a possible integration of Guardian360 Lighthouse and Datto Autotask.

During the round table discussion, it became clear that partners are mainly interested in an integration that offers the following functionalities:

  • Based on certain criteria, a ticket is created in Autotask for each new issue found by the Lighthouse platform;
  • The Autotask ticket ID is also stored in the Lighthouse platform, so the link between both is always obvious;
  • When a ticket is updated in Autotask, it will be added as a comment to the issue in the Lighthouse platform;
  • When the issue is resolved and thus closed in the Lighthouse platform, then the Autotask ticket is also closed automatically.

Meanwhile, these wishes have been translated into a minimum viable product (MVP). We also selected an independent software developer that wants to develop and maintain the MVP. To pursue this, it is essential that we know how much interest our partners have for the integration as described here.

Lighthouse update

In the past month we continued to monitor the stability and scalability of scanning. We’re very happy to see that our hard work paid off. In the past 30 days each day an average 70% of all open issues was updated within 24 hours. Change of scan scopes, large scan scopes, network filtering and variations in network stability withholds us from being able to update 100% of each issue every day. Nevertheless, on one specific day we were able to update 94,96% of open issues within 24 hours!
In addition, several other improvements have been implemented:

  • The Magento scanner has been refactored to improve its performance
  • The Login Bruteforce scanner has been refactored
  • We doubled the amount of VPN-servers to match the growth of clients and appliances

We also performed several security updates and upgrades.
