Guardian360
Hi ,

The first half of 2021 is almost over. The Guardian360 team is delighted to see our end customer market is developing well, with monthly increases in both quotations and orders. It seems that the awareness among entrepreneurs and managers has now reached the right level and the corresponding willingness to invest is also increasing. It’s great to see more and more companies working on improving their information security!

This changing market is one of the reasons for us to regularly test whether services and pricing are still aligned with that same market. You can read more about this in this newsletter.

Greetings,
On behalf of the Guardian360 team,

Jan Martijn Broekhof

Lighthouse update
Lighthouse update

Over the past period we have been finalizing the deployment of a Lighthouse probe on SecureMe2's SAM. We are currently beta testing this functionality.

The deployment of our probe on the SAM allows customers to combine baseline network traffic monitoring from SecureMe2 with Guardian360 scan results. Customers who no longer have a hypervisor can also use the SAM as a host for our probe. Guardian360 scan results can be made visible in the SecureMe2 dashboard via the Lighthouse API. This allows partners and customers to see alerts from SecureMe2 and scan results from Guardian360 in one overview.

In addition, a number of other improvements have been implemented:
  • Probe and Hacker Alert Appliance generation based on Hyper-V is greatly improved.
  • SMBv1 vulnerabilities are again shown with high priority.
  • When creating an API client, the IP-whitelist and redirect URL are no longer needed.
  • Hacker Alert Appliances automatically adjust their internal IP range to the IP range they are placed in.
  • We also performed several security updates and upgrades.

Newly updated versions of our service catalog and global price list

As of June 1 2021, newly updated versions of both our service catalog (version 8) and global price list (version 10) have gone into effect.

Newly added or revised in our service catalog:
  • The Guardian360 bundle offers have been added.
  • The working of the Hacker Alert appliance has been clarified.
  • The Cyber Risk Insurance text has been revised.

Newly added or revised in our new global price list:
  • The Guardian360 bundle offers replace the 'Scanning office automation incl. 1 vProbe (per month)' service. Pricing of these bundle offers have been adjusted in close consultation with our distributors and platinum partners. As a result of that the Small Office bundle has lapsed.
  • In addition, we have revised the ranges and pricing for 'Daily scanning ip-addresses (per ip-address)' and 'Phishing as a service' and made them competitive with the market again.
  • The rates for the 'Compliancy module' have been indexed.

Quotations already issued including the rates from version 9 of our global price list will be honored by our distributors until July 31, 2021.

Stable and scalable scanning

In a previous newsletter we mentioned that we have been working hard on the stability and scalability of scanning. The metaphor with the Ever Given getting stuck in the Suez Canal is a fitting one here: only after the Ever Given had been freed, the water could flow faster again. This also applies to our scanning: since January 1 this year, we’ve developed some 50 stories, bug fixes and improvements to keep scanning stable and scalable. For example:

  • The capacity of external scanners has been expanded (amount of scanning nodes tripled).
  • The scanners have been made more efficient (faster/more simultaneous).
  • Scan scheduling has been adjusted (scans are no longer cut off when not completed).
  • Extra logging has been added so that we can identify bottlenecks more quickly.

For the majority of our partners and customers, we manage to update all issues and find new issues within 24 hours every day. Our CRE, SWE and SRE team up every day to investigate the issues that caused scanning to not run correctly for our other partners and/or customers. In some cases, the cause lies with our technology and we’re able to implement an improvement. However, more and more often, we find that the root cause of scanning not running correctly is related to the situation at our partner or end customer - think of an IPS or IDS that interferes with our scanning, an unstable internet connection or a probe with insufficient resources.

First platinum partners meeting!

On May 31, the first platinum partners backlog meeting took place! Together with our platinum partners Avensus, Intermax, SLTN and Solimas, we reflected on the Lighthouse developments in Q1 2021. We also went through the backlog for Q2 2021 (and beyond) together. Our team is very happy with the commitment of our platinum partners. It's encouraging to notice that the functionalities they want are in line with what we ourselves want to develop.

Want to know what it takes to become a platinum partner?
Please contact Jeff Scipio (j.scipio@guardian360.nl / +31 6 22257474).
