Lighthouse update
In the past few weeks, our SWE's and SRE's have again invested a lot of time in improving the stability and scalability of our platform. As we want to provide our clients with reliable information on our platform and - of course - our service to run smoothly, all developers and engineers collaborate daily to review logging and monitoring and fix problems that occur. As a team we also want to make sure that we’re able to proactively inform our partners about any disruptions, so we are working on that too!
During our research we found out that we need to upgrade the minimum system requirements for probes. As
scanners are continuously updated and more and more security issues can now be detected, probes need more resources to be able to scan. This is why we now require at least 8 GB of internal memory.
On the probe index page, you can find out if a probe has enough resources and also if it's still scanning during office hours. If your clients are bothered by this, consider allocating more memory to a probe that can perform more scans at the same time during the night. This way it's not always necessary to deploy an extra probe anymore.
For the last two years or so, SIDN's Commercial Director Arjan Middelkoop and Guardian360 CEO Jan Martijn Broekhof have been working closely with a SIDN team on the development of CyberSterk, the cyber security solution for SME's. As of 1 april SIDN has handed over the CyberSterk baton over to Guardian360, who will independently continue to roll out this solution.
