Normally we would now start getting ready to meet our partners at Cloudfest.Unfortunately, we can't travel to southern Germany this year and we have to settle with a digital edition of the event. We are happy that the Cloudfest teamis devoting a full day to the topic of security! And as a sector we
really need this. In the past few weeks, we have again been confronted with ransomware attacks and serious vulnerabilities in widely used software. Fortunately, we have noticed that the general public is starting to understand the importance of information security. There is increasing attention for the subject in the media, we also notice that our partners are getting more and more demand for Guardian360 services from their customers.
In this newsletter you read about the developments within our Lighthouse platform. We update you on CyberSterk and you can read how Guardian360 employees will keep on drawing attention to the subject of information security in the coming weeks.

Lighthouse update In the past few weeks, we have implemented another set of new features and improvements to our platform. Below you will find the highlights:
Partners will receive a message when internal scanning for one of their clients couldn’t be finished on 11:55 PM CET at least twice a week so they’re able to work on a solution;
Internal scanning is optimised so it takes less time to perform a full scan;
Internal scanning received a major update so we find more vulnerabilities;
Probes are modified so they’re scalable. By assigning more resources to the probe the scanning will be performed faster;
Partners are able to gain more insights in probe and hacker alert appliance configuration so they’re able to troubleshoot faster;
Partners are able to delete probes and hacker alert appliances;
The probe index and hacker alert appliance index pages have been upgraded;
Scanner scheduling has been altered so the most impactful scanning is
being performed outside office hours;
We’ve added a few phishingscenarios;
Filter setting on index pages are reset when a user logs in;
Our WordPress scanner has been upgraded so it finds more vulnerabilities.
Due to developments like bring your own
device, shadow IT and all kinds of IOT devices connected to networks we learned that our partners sometimes simply don’t know what’s connected to their networks anymore. So, in the next couple of weeks Guardian360 will introduce an asset overview to give you near real-time insights in assets. Stay tuned!
Cybersterk
As of April 1, 2021, Guardian360 is taking over
CyberSterk from SIDN. Guardian360 has been involved in the development of the comprehensiblecybersecurity service for SMEsfrom the beginning. For the past two years SIDN has been working with Guardian360 and SecureMe2 to develop CyberSterk as a new security solution for SMEs. It has now been proven that the proposition is a success and covers a real need in the market. SIDN is now handing over the baton to a market player that can use its experience and extensive customer base to help CyberSterk grow further and make SMEs safer.
With the acquisition by Guardian360, current customers can continue to use CyberSterk in the familiar way. New customers can contact one of the many CyberSterk sales partners of TST ict distribution. Although SIDN's name is no longer associated with the cybersecurity service, it will continue to actively promote CyberSterk over the coming
year.
Every Friday at 4:30 PM CET a “Cyber” drinks session is hosted by Dave Maasland (CEO ESET Netherland) and Jan Martijn Broekhof (CEO Guardian360) via Clubhouse. Together with the people present in the room, the information security news of that week is discussed. It is
explicitly intended that attendees also get involved in the discussion, which has already led to some great conversations!
While there are a lot of questions to be asked about privacy and security of Clubhouse itself, we have chosen to give this platform the benefit of the doubt. However, it is one of the regular topics discussed on a weekly basis.
